Washington Park’s July 4th Neighborhood Picnic
Don’t miss Washington Park’s 8th annual July 4th Neighborhood Picnic next weekend. The event – slated for Sunday July 4th from 11a.m.-1p.m – will take place around Washington Park’s Boathouse. There are numerous activities planned throughout the day, including visits to the Denver Fire Department Station 21 fire truck, mingling with the Denver Police Department’s Mounted Patrol horses, and enjoying music by the Denver Municipal Band’s Brass Quintet. The parade starts at 11:45a.m., and will be followed by free ice cream and beverages. The Denver Concert Band will be playing at the meadow south of the rec center at 7:30p.m.
