If you live in Denver’s City Park or Whittier neighborhoods, you don’t want to miss Tuesday’s public forum, regarding the Open Air Cinema that is planned for City Park in July 2011.  The meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Denver Museum of Nature & Science’s Ricketson Auditorium. Guests should enter from the west side of the museum.

In case you haven’t heard the news, US OpenAir plans to run a month-long movie series in City Park in July 2011, complete with grandstand seating for 1,600 people. While the grandiose event has already been approved by the Denver City Council, it has created much controversy within the City Park neighborhood. City Park residents can learn more about it from various speakers, including US Open Air, Denver Parks and Recreation, as well as hear from opponents to the idea.
