Washington Park Homes, often dubbed “Wash Park Homes,” are broken into two neighborhood sections – east and west. The neighborhood is loosely bounded by as Downing Street, I-25, and University Boulevard. Easily one of Denver’s most desirable neighborhoods, it’s easy to see why Denver homebuyers are attracted to Washington Park – the beautiful south-central Denver neighborhood is centered on a 165-acre sprawling park of the same name, one of the most popular recreational destinations in the Denver area.

Washington Park Homes are located only a few minutes from downtown Denver’s plethora of cultural and dinning opportunities. The neighborhood attracts people in all stages of life – young professionals to growing families to retired couples.

Washington Park Homes were built in one of Denver’s first suburbs which was first developed in the late 19th century, but most of the brick houses were constructed between 1900 and 1940. The Washington Park homes market is diverse, with homes priced anywhere from the upper 200s to well into the millions.  There is a large variety of home sizes, architectural styles and layouts in Washington Park homes, including bungalows and Denver Squares. Like in many other Denver neighborhoods, many of Washington Park’s homes have been extensively renovated.

Because of the neighborhood’s high esteem, Wash Park Homes are priced higher than in some other Denver neighborhoods.

What to do near Washington Park Homes

Washington Park DenverWashington Park Home owners savor their neighborhood’s close proximity to the park and to Smith Lake, which is home to a boathouse. Regardless of the season, or the time of day, you will find many walkers and joggers circling the park’s perimeter, taking advantage of its natural beauty.

Old South Gaylord Street, Denver’s second oldest shopping district is located six blocks from the Washington Park neighborhood and Washington Park Homes. The shopping district features a charming mix of restaurants, arts galleries and boutiques, including the Washington Park Grille, the Tavern Wash Park, and the Park Creek Clothing Company. Washington Park is also close to the commercial district on Old South Pearl Street.  Old South Pearl Street is home to some popular Blues and Bluegrass Festivals along with fantastic shops and restaurants.  Needless to say Washington Park Homes have it all – they are centrally located to the city and home to some of Denver’s premier shops, restaurants and recreational activities.
