Here are a few highlights from the Denver real estate market this month.
According to Metrolist statistics, the average selling price of Denver properties closed in June was $266,493, an increase from $257,177 in May.
The closely-watched June Standard & Poor’s/Case-Shiller Home Price Index revealed that Denver home prices increased 1.5 percent from March to April. The 20-city composite index rose .7 percent.

Good news on the Denver real estate front! The closely-watched Standard & Poor’s/Case-Shiller Home Price Index was released on Tuesday, revealing that Denver home prices increased 1.5 percent from March to April. The 20-city composite index rose .7 percent.
The year-over-year numbers aren’t as pretty with Denver home prices decreasing 4.1 percent from April 2010. Washington DC was the only city to see a year-over-year increase.
The monthly price increase is a good sign for the health of the Denver real estate market, along with the national housing market.
