Is it really safer to live in the suburbs?
Since FindMyHomeDenver is always on the lookout for Denver crime rate information, a recent Denver Post article caught our eye.
The article covered recent a Brookings Institution study, showing a 38 percent decline in urban violent crime, compared with only a 28 percent drop in the suburbs. The violent-crime rate in Denver (measured in crimes per 100,000 population) remains higher than most suburban areas, although it has tumbled significantly since the mid-2000s.
